EAST PRAIRIE -- Nora Elizabeth Burnes, 76, of East Prairie died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Wann, Okla., daughter of George Washington and Susanna Beatrice Baldwin Wiggins. She and Willie M. Burnes were married Nov. 18, 1941, at Charleston. He died June 10, 1993...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Nora Elizabeth Burnes, 76, of East Prairie died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Wann, Okla., daughter of George Washington and Susanna Beatrice Baldwin Wiggins. She and Willie M. Burnes were married Nov. 18, 1941, at Charleston. He died June 10, 1993.

Survivors include three sons, Billy and Cecil Burnes of Glendora, Calif., James Burnes of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; two brothers, Richard and Bill Wiggins of Wachula, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Robert Burnes officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
