Nola Mae Wallace, age 68, a resident of 101 Cresap in Sikeston, died at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, March 13 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center. Wallace was born Dec. 4, 1925 at Oak Ridge, Tenn., to the late Jessie Frank and Frances M. Jones Taylor. A resident of this area since 1959, Wallace was of the Baptist faith and had been employed in housekeeping at the Drury Inn. On May 19, 1945, she was married to Robert H. Wallace at Andersonville, Tenn. He preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1974. She is survived by four sons, Robert C. Wallace, Charlie Wallace of Warren, Mich., Ron Wallace of Sikeston and Marc Wallace of Doniphan. She is also survived by two daughters, Nancy Christie of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Edie Stroud of Sikeston. She is survived by one sister, Maggie Skinner of Sikeston, and 11 grandchildren. Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The body will then be transfered to Clinton, Tenn.,for internment in the Red Hill Cemetery.
