Nola Eldridge

Nola F. Eldridge, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at her home. She was born Sept. 25, 1922, in Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Jim and Bessie Cotner Sample. She and John Eldridge were married June 23, 1946, in Chicago. Eldridge was a cafeteria cook 20 years for Cape Girardeau School District. Nola F. Eldridge, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at her home.

She was born Sept. 25, 1922, in Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Jim and Bessie Cotner Sample. She and John Eldridge were married June 23, 1946, in Chicago.

Eldridge was a cafeteria cook 20 years for Cape Girardeau School District. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Mark Eldridge and John Michael Eldridge of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lela Collins of Cape Girardeau; a grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Graveside service will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, Mo., with the Rev. Alvie Surface officiating.
