CHARLESTON -- Nola Dieckmeyer, 89, of Charleston died Sunday, June 16, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Oct. 23, 1901, in Columbus, Ken., the daughter of N.C. and Catherine Vaughn Harwell. On July 11, 1919, she married George Dieckmeyer, who preceded her in death Aug. 22, 1969.
She lived in Charleston most of her life and was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
She was employed with Brown Shoe Co. for 25 years until her retirement in 1962.
Survivors include a nephew, George Harwell Jr. of Plaka, Fla. and eight nieces, Helen Herwig, Betty Simmons, Dorothy Faye Turner, Linda Evans and Carol Collier, all of Charleston, Barbara Beck of Springfield and Patricia Bennett and Mary Ann Layton, both of Gainseville, Fla.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and two nephews.
Funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. today at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Charleston. Father Raymond Kunkel will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston is in charge of the arrangements.
