ANNA, Ill. -- Nola B. Boatright, 96, of Anna, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at Jonesboro Rehab and Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill. She was born Sept. 5, 1909, in Carrier Mills, Ill., daughter of Robert Edward and Dana Reynolds Barter. She and Vernie Boatright were married Jan. 8, 1929, in Saline County, Ill. He died June 18, 1981...

ANNA, Ill. -- Nola B. Boatright, 96, of Anna, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at Jonesboro Rehab and Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill.

She was born Sept. 5, 1909, in Carrier Mills, Ill., daughter of Robert Edward and Dana Reynolds Barter. She and Vernie Boatright were married Jan. 8, 1929, in Saline County, Ill. He died June 18, 1981.

She was a mental health technician more than 40 years at Dixon, Manteno and Anna State Hospitals. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and its Philathia Sunday School Class.

Survivors include two sons, Vernon and Dale Boatright of Anna; a grandchild; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother, two sisters and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Burial will be in North America Cemetery in Saline County.
