DEXTER -- Funeral for Noble Leon Garner of Ashland City, Tenn., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Loman Garner will officiate, with burial in Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.

Garner, 63, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at his home.

He was born Aug. 7, 1935, near Essex, son of Hanford Theo and Eunice Edwards Garner.

Garner was reared in Gray Ridge, and had lived in Tennessee many years. A tool and die machinist, he owned and operated Frontline Manufacturing in Ashland City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a son, Stevin Garner of Shelby, Mich.; a daughter, Mona McLaren of Simpsonville, S.C.; his mother of Bloomfield; two sisters, Joyce Wilson of Ashland City, Yvonne Odom of Malden; a brother, Bethel Garner of Bloomfield; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father.
