MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Noah Williams, 57, of Mound City died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at his residence.
He was born April 6, 1943, in Bell City, Mo., son of Charlie and Dollie Skefes Williams.
He was an auto mechanic and had worked for Murphy's Service Station and Calvin Watson in Cairo, Ill. He was a fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Arlena, of Mound City; five daughters, Becky Lee of Mounds, Ill., Connie Williams, Donna Bennett, Carla Bennett and Arlena Polley, all of Mound City; four brothers, Bill Williams of Mounds, Don Williams and Bobby Williams, both of Kennett, Mo., and Jerry Williams of Villa Ridge, Ill.; four sisters, Nancy Shawn and Effie Wilford, both of Kennett, Mae Morris of Mounds and Bernice Pyle of Sacramento, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ernest Browning officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Olmsted, Ill.
