Nina Heise

Nina Alene Heise, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at her home.

She was born July 27, 1915, in Oriole, to Elijah and Bessie Leona Young Masterson. She attended Old Plainview Grade School and Indian Creek High School. She and Dale O. Heise were married Dec. 20, 1932, in Jackson. He died Jan. 31, 1998.

Nina and her husband were lifelong farmers in the Egypt Mills community. She was a member of Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce L. (Bob) Vines of Egypt Mills, Phyllis A. Heise of Folsom, La., Judy E. Purcell of Egypt Mills; two sons, Richard D. "Dick" (Jan) Heise of Austin, Texas, David G. Heise of St. Joseph, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Olson officiating. Burial will be in Egypt Mills Trinity Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice or Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
