BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Nina Clara Walker, formerly of Bertrand will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston.
The Rev. Lee Fansler, pastor of Blodgett Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Mrs. Walker, who lived at the Miner Nursing Care Center, died Tuesday at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was 86.
She was born July 11, 1904 at Advance to the late James Nathan and Ida Startz Ladd. In 1924, she married Raymond Lloyd Walker, who preceded her in death Oct. 28, 1982.
She also was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
She lived in Bertrand since 1967, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Blanche Chandler of Charleston and Dessie Mae Stricker of Marion, Ill.; three brothers, Marcus Ladd and Lowell Ladd, both of Advance, and Charlie Ladd of Marble Hill; three sisters, Goldie Pickett and Opel Carlton, both of Advance and Lillian Scheffer of Lincold, Neb.; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 10 great, great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston
