Nicholas Cauble, 20, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 6, 2002, in Cape Girardeau to Scott and Tari Braswell Cauble.
Nicholas was a 2021 graduate of Jackson High School, where he was very active in band. He loved playing the saxophone and made All State Band his senior year. He had a great love for music.
Nicholas was an Eagle Scout with Troop 11 in Jackson and a member of the Order of the Arrow, an honor society within Scouting. He loved camping, hiking and serving the community. He was also a member of La Croix Church, and had been active with a Bible study group at New McKendree United Methodist Church.
He was an entrepreneur from an early age. He would sell golf balls he found near his home, and make crafts with his Grandma to sell at the seasonal craft fairs. He was a lifelong Lego lover, enjoyed playing the guitar and longboarding across Missouri State University campus in Springfield, where he was majoring in business.
Nicholas had such a bright future. He held so many talents, and was always there to share a helping hand. He will be remembered by those who loved him for his big smile, kind heart and great sense of humor. He was a great friend to so many.
Survivors include his parents, Scott and Tari Cauble of Cape Girardeau; brother, Justin Pullin of Cape Girardeau; grandparents, Richard and Lynnore Meyer and Judy Braswell of Cape Girardeau; uncles and aunts, Scott and Sandy Duncan of Cape Girardeau, Darrell and Christine Longacre of Redding, California, Greg and Beverly Meyer of St. Louis and Mark and Juli Russell of St. Louis; cousins, Riley and Ava Duncan; great-uncle, Rick Fischer of Jackson; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tom Braswell; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Meyer; and great-aunts, Linda Thomason and Christine Fischer.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 19, at La Croix Church in Cape Girardeau.
A celebration of life will follow at 7 p.m. Friday, May 19, at the church, with the Rev. Ron Watts officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Boy Scouts of America, Shawnee District, and Jackson R-2 Foundation with "Nicholas Cauble" or "Band" in the memo.
Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
