OAK RIDGE -- Nettie M. Winder, 85, of Oak Ridge died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at The Lutheran Home. Winder was born Nov. 15, 1913, at Millersville, daughter of Charlie and Sarah McCormick Niswonger. She and Robert W. Winder were married at Jackson. She worked for several years as a cook at Southeast Missouri State University and at the Governor Hotel in Jefferson City. OAK RIDGE -- Nettie M. Winder, 85, of Oak Ridge died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at The Lutheran Home.

Winder was born Nov. 15, 1913, at Millersville, daughter of Charlie and Sarah McCormick Niswonger. She and Robert W. Winder were married at Jackson.

She worked for several years as a cook at Southeast Missouri State University and at the Governor Hotel in Jefferson City. Winder was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Earl W. Winder of Lake Ozark, Paul Winder of Crystal City, Charles Winder of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Patsy Green of Greenbrier, Peggy McClain of Oran; two sisters, Victory Fullerton of California, Ruby Seabaugh of Nevada; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Winder was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, two brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery.
