FRIEDHEIM, Mo. -- Nelson H. Friese, 72, of Friedheim passed away Thursday, May 10, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 18, 1929, at Friedheim, son of H.F. and Lorina Klaus Friese. He and Betty Jean Hahs were married June 1, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Friese was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was active in the church and its Men's Club. He formerly owned and operated Friese Feed Store and Friese Trucking Co. at Friedheim. Due to ill health, he retired in 1993.
Loving survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth W. and Mary Ann Friese of Friedheim, Mark H. and Sherry Friese of Jackson, Mo.; two sisters, Gladys Strong and Ruth Moneyhun of Jackson; four grandsons, Waylon Friese and Blake Friese of Friedheim, and Derek Friese and Ross Friese of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and after noon Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church. The Revs. Adam Mueller and David Burge will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church or Saxony Lutheran High School.
