EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Graveside service for Nelmore Hand of East Prairie will be held at 11 a.m. today at Anniston Cemetery. Martin Lucas will officiate.
Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
Hand, 77, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 7, 1922, at Fairview, Mo., son of John F. and Kathrn Flannery Hand Smith.
Hand lived in Anniston, Mo., most of his life before moving to East Prairie. He retired as a deckhand on a riverboat, and worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps. during World War II. He was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie.
He is survived by friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
