MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Nellie M. Wilson, 75, of Mound City died Friday morning, Oct. 12, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Urbandale, Ill., daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Marie Weaver Butler. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City and retired as a bookkeeper from Empire Gas Co. in Mounds after 35 years of service.
Survivors include three sisters, Nancy Sharp of Olmsted, Ill., Mary Tomberlin of Mound City, Minnie Mackan of Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, James Butler of Olmsted; several nieces and nephews, including her niece, Patsy Fitzgerald and her great-niece, Heather Graham of Mound City; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Wilson was preceded in death by a sister, Lola Grant; three brothers, Charles, Nathan and Richard Butler.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the service Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City.
The funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City with the Rev. Chris Mujule as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mounds.
At the request of the family, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City in memory of Wilson.
