NELLIE RODGERS

SALCEDO -- Nellie M. Rodgers, 62, of Salcedo died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997, at St. Louis University Hospital.

She was born Aug. 31, 1935, in Sikeston, daughter of Audie Lee and Bernice Mott Manley. She and John J. Rodgers were married March 16, 1953, at Sikeston.

Rodgers was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston.

Survivors include her husband; a son, John Rodgers of Salcedo; two daughters, Judith Launius of Sikeston, Dorothy Rodgers of the home; a brother, Harrison Manley of Farmington; three sisters, Dorothy Gamble of Texas, Judith Daniels of Festus, Rebecca West of Jackson, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Bryan Davis officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
