Nellie Jackson Robertson, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Paul D. Jackson officiating. Committal service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Ironton, Mo.

Nellie was born Jan. 27, 1923, at Bertrand, Mo., to the Rev. Willie E. and Mary Etta Bell Jackson. She and Jack Robertson were married April 20, 1985, in Farmington, Mo. He preceded her in death March 20, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Zelbert Jackson.

Nellie graduated from East Prairie High School and attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo., and Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau. She was employed by state of Missouri, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Cape First.

Survivors include two brothers, Harvie L. Jackson of East Prairie, Mo., E. Paul Jackson of Charleston, Mo.; three nephews and six nieces; a host of other relatives and friends; a stepson, Michael Robertson and wife Winna; a stepgranddaughter, Laura Robertson Bratton and husband Tommy; and their three children, Ryan, Jacob and Benjamin.
