Nell Rae Nolan, 84, of Pearl, Miss., formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at her home.
She was born May 9, 1928, in New Hebron, Miss., daughter of James W. and Lessie Cliburn Netherland. She and Robert R. Nolan were married May 9, 1947, in Jackson, Miss. He passed away July 2, 1996.
Nell was an active member of Pearson Baptist Church in Pearl, and a former active member of Iona Baptist Church in Oriole. She formerly worked at the Kroger Egg Plant in Jackson and the Visitor Center at Trail of Tears State Park north of Cape Girardeau.
Loving survivors include a daughter, Debbie (Keith) Leimbach of Jackson; three sons, Steve (Laura) Nolan of Oriole, Greg Nolan of Cape Girardeau and Tim (Sherry) Nolan of Scott City; four sisters, Lerlene Herrington, Eula Myers and Mildred Walters, all of Pearl and Jeanne (Brad) Bradley of Semmes, Ala.; a brother, James (Jean) Netherland of Pearl; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at Iona Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Dennis Herrington officiating. Interment will be in McLain's Chapel Cemetery near Oriole.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to Iona Baptist Church or McLain's Chapel Cemetery Fund.
