Nelda Rae Green, 81, of Jackson, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, surrounded by loving family. She was born March 25, 1937, in Whitewater, daughter of Oscar Earl and Flora Williams Wiseman. She and Gilbert Green were married Dec. 7, 1957, at Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump. He passed away Aug. 7, 1999...

Nelda Rae Green, 81, of Jackson, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, surrounded by loving family.

She was born March 25, 1937, in Whitewater, daughter of Oscar Earl and Flora Williams Wiseman. She and Gilbert Green were married Dec. 7, 1957, at Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump. He passed away Aug. 7, 1999.

Nelda was a lifelong member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church, where she was a pianist for the church and a member of Women's Missionary Society. Nelda loved the Lord and her family and friends. Her laughter will be missed on this earth but will be heard again in heaven.

Loving survivors include three sons, Michael (Laura Lea) Green of Jackson, Ronald (Regina) Green of Luling, Texas, and Gary (Rhonda) Green of Jackson; two daughters, Anita (Michael) Grant and Laura Kay Green of Jackson; grandchildren, Aaron Green, Kaleb (Lauren) Green, Derick Bosquez, Daniel Weston, Ethan (Amber) Grant and Bethany Grant; great-grandchildren, Paige, Derick Jr., Nylah, Colt and David; her mother, Flora Wiseman of Whitewater; three sisters, Elaine (Vincent) DiRago of Madison, Alabama, Nora Garnett of Cedar Park, Texas, and Judy (John) Kinney of Sparta, Ohio; and one brother, James Earl (Evelyn) Wiseman of Whitewater.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Earline Wiseman.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Allen officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests contributions be made to Bethlehem General Baptist Church.
