EAST PRAIRIE -- Neal Woods, 82, of East Prairie, died Wednesday, March 3, 1993, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

He was born Aug. 31, 1910, in Ridgely, Tenn., son of Roy and Pearl Sterling Woods. He and Dimple Marie Harden were married Jan. 6, 1929.

Woods was a retired farmer, and member of Full Gospel Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Melvin Woods of Zalma, Jimmy and Gary Woods of East Prairie; four daughters, Ruby Larson of Detroit, Mich., Margaret Maness and Marilyn Dodge of Sikeston, Mary Miller of St. Joseph, La.; a brother, Jimmy Woods of Camden, Ark.; five sisters, Ola Ledbetter of Bethpage, N.Y., Butell Stagner, Alma Kirby and Lorene Vickery of Poplar Bluff, Geraldine Buttery of St. Louis; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, a son and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Burl Britt will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
