JACKSON -- Collie "Neal" Hency, 68, of Jackson died Friday, March 31, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 11, 1932, at Vanduser, son of Claudis W. and Lula Mae Estes Hency. He and Shirley Palmer were married July 9, 1955, in Cape Girardeau.
Hency was a foreman at Central Packing Co. in Cape Girardeau 30 years and was also a self-employed farmer in the Jackson area.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Randy Hency of Jackson, Richard Hency of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Robin Kindle of Sikeston, Ronda Crank and Renea Hency of Jackson.
Also surviving are six brothers, Claudis Hency Jr. of Lakeland, Fla., Charles Hency of St. Louis, Edgar Hency of Poplar Bluff, Donald Hency of Benton, Ralph Hency of Cape Girardeau, Robert Hency of Jackson; three sisters, Pauline Burgess of St. Louis, Clara Durham and Mayme Hockaday of the state of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, including Crystal and Nicole Hency raised by the Hencys; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Pringle officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
