Nathan Lynn Surface, 36, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Nathan was born March 9, 1981, in Chaffee, Missouri, the son of Ricky Lynn and Betty Coleman Surface.

He was a 1999 graduate of Bell City (Missouri) High School.

Nathan worked as a tow truck driver for Sperling's Garage and Wrecker Service in Cape Girardeau.

He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider. He was a Mid America APA pool player. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Betty and Rusty Hendrickson of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Michelle Lynn Surface of Bell City and JaCee Mae Surface of Aquilla, Missouri; two brothers, Richard Surface of Jackson and Joshua Surface of Cape Girardeau; two stepsisters, Sara Brown of Jackson and Amanda Waggoner of Fredericktown, Missouri; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ricky Surface; a stepbrother, Shane Hendrickson; and grandparents, Jerry and Marie Coleman and Harold and Katherine Surface.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Missouri.

A funeral service will be held on at 11a.m. Friday at the chapel with Gary Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Swinton, Missouri.
