JACKSON -- Nathan Fred Thompson, 76, of Jackson died Friday, April 5, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 27, 1920, to Fred and Lula Harmon Thompson in Gordonville.
He married Naomi Barks on Dec. 13, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Brad Thompson of Kelso; a brother, Harold Thompson of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Claudene Caldwell of Cape Girardeau and Myrtle Thompson of Scott City; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Thompson was a retired truck driver with the former Federal Materials and Southeast Missouri Stone Co. He also was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson today from 4-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at the funeral home Monday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Arvil Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
