CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Naomi Regina Lauck, 89, of Chaffee died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 20, 1919, in New Hamburg, Mo., daughter of Joseph and Anna Bollinger Compass. She and Monroe H. Lauck were married May 28, 1942. He died April 3, 1949.
Lauck was owner/operator of Curve Inn at Blomeyer, Mo., 30 years. She then worked with the Green Thumb program at Chaffee Elementary School and also worked at Chaffee Head Start and Chaffee Nutrition Center.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, Legion of Mary, Chaffee American Legion Auxiliary 389 and Chaffee VFW Auxiliary 3127.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Surface and Jeannie Chapman of Chaffee; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The rosary will be recited at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Revs. Ralph Duffner and Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
