Naomi Mauck Earley, 82, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at her home. She was born March 12, 1922, in English, Ind., but grew up in St. Louis. She was a graduate of Kirkwood High School and Miss Hickey's Secretarial School in St. Louis...

Naomi Mauck Earley, 82, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at her home.

She was born March 12, 1922, in English, Ind., but grew up in St. Louis. She was a graduate of Kirkwood High School and Miss Hickey's Secretarial School in St. Louis.

She married Air Force Cadet Robert J. Earley Dec. 18, 1943, in King City, Calif.

Mrs. Earley was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Cape Girardeau, serving as circle chairman and past president of the Women of the Church. She was a member of Chapter GF, PEO.

She was active in the Girl Scout organization more than 20 years, having served as leader, neighborhood chairman, and a member of the board of directors. She also served as Boy Scout den mother.

Mrs. Earley was past president of Hawthorne Elementary and Central High School PTAs. She served on the original board of directors of Chateau Girardeau and was a member of Cape County Republican Women's Club, in addition to serving in various other volunteer activities.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a caring friend to many.

Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Earley of Cape Girardeau; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Larry Dierks of Sun City West, Ariz., Joan and Bill Morgan of Cape Girardeau; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Leigh Earley of O'Fallon, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Greg Adelson of Houston, Texas, Amy Schroeder of St. Louis, Kathy Laucius of Houston, Kim Adelson and Mark Armbruster of Cape Girardeau, Jennifer Earley of Springfield, Mo., Ryan Earley of O'Fallon; six stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Earley was preceded in death by her mother, father and stepfather.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Paul Kabo Jr. officiating. Private burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Arrangements are being handled by Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau or Chateau Girardeau Foundation.
