DEXTER -- Funeral service for Naomi Mae Crews of Dexter will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Wayne Dismuke will officiate, with burial in Dexter Cemetery.

Crews, 74, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 1996, at her home.

She was born Jan. 22, 1922, at Wardell, daughter of Qulin and Dollie Thomas Canoy. She married Herschel Crews Sr., who died in 1970.

Crews had lived in Dexter 15 years, and was a member of First Pentecost Church and Senior Citizens Club.

Survivors include six daughters, Becky Beard and Mary Jenkins of Dexter, Jane Townsend of Chaffee, Doris Chase of Biscoe, Ark., Ginny Brown of Memphis, Tenn., Peggy Nevels of Puxico; three sons, David and Don Crews of Dexter, Herschel Crews Jr. of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, James Canoy of Bernie, Jerry Canoy of Zalma; two sisters, Becky Stroup of Kinder, Nancy Poyner of Poplar Bluff; 22 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
