Nancy E. Unterreiner, 71, of Cape Girardeau died peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center, with family by her side.
She was born Dec. 16, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, to George and Genevieve Doll Yallaly. She and Ronn Unterreiner were married May 31, 1964, in Cape Girardeau.
Nancy was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Metro Business College. She and Ronn owned and operated the family business, Service Packaging Corp., more than 10 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She was an avid dog lover. Her last act of kindness was being able to help others as she was an organ donor.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Ronn Unterreiner of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Jeff (Lisa) Unterreiner of Cape Girardeau and Bryan Unterreiner of Dallas; a brother, John (Barbara) Yallaly of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren, Anna and Evan Unterreiner of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
