Nancy Spies

Nancy K. Spies, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born July 26, 1942, in Illmo to John Wilson and Lorraine Ray Clark. She and Burley R. Spies were married in 1984 at Cape Girardeau.

She worked for Superior Electric for a number of years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband, Burley R. Spies of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Jim Park of Cape Girardeau and Marshall Hilderman of St. Louis; two stepdaughters, Robin VanGennip of Advance, Missouri, and Rosalie Haney of Chaffee, Missouri; three stepsons, Ritchie Spies of Burfordville and Raymond and Shawn Spies, both of Chaffee; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister and a great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m. and rosary at 7:30 p.m., today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Victor Anokwute officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
