ANNA, Ill. -- Nancy Davis Sorrels, 78, of Anna died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004. She was born Feb. 3, 1926, at Anna, the daughter of Ora and Clella Davis Davis. She and Bill Sorrels were married Sept. 9, 1945, at Anna. He died Aug. 18, 1989. Survivors include four daughters, Cindy Swope and Mindy Carter, both of Anna, Cecelia Hodges of Gatesville, Texas, and Nan Ginsburg of Makanda, Ill.; a brother, Jim Davis of Anna; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren...

ANNA, Ill. -- Nancy Davis Sorrels, 78, of Anna died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004.

She was born Feb. 3, 1926, at Anna, the daughter of Ora and Clella Davis Davis.

She and Bill Sorrels were married Sept. 9, 1945, at Anna. He died Aug. 18, 1989.

Survivors include four daughters, Cindy Swope and Mindy Carter, both of Anna, Cecelia Hodges of Gatesville, Texas, and Nan Ginsburg of Makanda, Ill.; a brother, Jim Davis of Anna; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Anna, with the Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
