ANNA, Ill. -- Nancy Palmer Obptande, 49, of Anna died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Terry Joe Obptande; four sons, Robert Hanner of Fort Bliss, Texas, Charles Hanner and Jerry Obptande of Anna, Rondale Hanner of East Cape Girardeau; and her mother, Florence Halterman of Murphysboro...

ANNA, Ill. -- Nancy Palmer Obptande, 49, of Anna died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Joe Obptande; four sons, Robert Hanner of Fort Bliss, Texas, Charles Hanner and Jerry Obptande of Anna, Rondale Hanner of East Cape Girardeau; and her mother, Florence Halterman of Murphysboro.

Also surviving are two sisters, Joan Schoenborn of Winfield, Linda Suppes of Chicago Heights; four brothers, Harry Palmer of Anna, Dennis Palmer of Carbondale, Wally Palmer of Downers Grove, Ricky Palmer of Eldon, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Timothy Madison officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
