ORAN, Mo. -- Nancy Elizabeth Abner, 52, of Oran died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 16, 1948, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of Richard and Betty Jo Alton McCain. She and Dwayne Abner were married Feb. 8, 1966...

ORAN, Mo. -- Nancy Elizabeth Abner, 52, of Oran died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 16, 1948, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of Richard and Betty Jo Alton McCain. She and Dwayne Abner were married Feb. 8, 1966.

Abner was a machine operator at Venture Products in Oran.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Doug Abner of Flower Mound, Texas, James Abner of Oran; three daughters, Kim Pobst of Benton, Mo., Heather Abner of Tulsa, Okla., Amanda Abner of Cape Girardeau; her mother of Advance, Mo.; a brother, Dale McCain of Kennewick, Wash.; two sisters, Mary Stevens of Bloomfield, Mo., Johnnie Withrow of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
