ADVANCE, Mo. -- Nadine Joyce Ford, 73, of rural Advance passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. ADVANCE, Mo. -- Nadine Joyce Ford, 73, of rural Advance passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 1, 1939, in Avert, Mo., daughter of Harold James and Beatrice Perry Carter.

She and Charles Edward Ford were married July 22, 1960. He preceded her in death Sept. 17, 1985,

Mrs. Ford was a member of First Methodist Church in Bell City, Mo. She was a cook at Bell City schools and a former employee of Elder Manufacturing in Bloomfield, Mo., and Paramount Hat Co. in Advance.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Dean Ford and wife Pamela of Advance and Jeffery Allen Ford and wife Angela of Nixa, Mo.; four sisters, Erna Lee Robertson of Winfield, Mo., Doris L. Carter of Bloomfield, Linda Lois Christian of Blytheville, Ark., and Gail Barker of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Michael Walton Ford, Dustin Lee Ford, Michaela Ann Ford and Danielle Nicole Ford; and a great-grandchild, Desmond L. Engelstad.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Gene Carter.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Sue Welborn officiating. Interment will be in Tillman Cemetery near Advance.
