CHARLESTON -- Funeral for Nadene J. Byrne of Charleston will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Charleston. The Revs. Rick White and Gerald Collier will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 6-8 p.m. today.

Byrne, 76, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Raymond, Texas, daughter of Elbert Amidis and Irene Peyton Jeans. She and Robert Hartner Byrne were married March 9, 1945.

Byrne lived in Mississippi County most of her life and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert "Bobby" Byrne of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Ann Reed of Lake Forest, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
