PATTON, Mo. -- Myrtle Gertrude Wallis, 97, of Anchorage, Alaska, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1904, at Patton, daughter of Joseph and Cora Linton Shirley. She and James E. Wallis were married Feb. 16, 1925. He died Jan. 25, 1962.
Wallis was a member of Patton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Paul Shirley of Blytheville, Ark., Howard Shirley of Oak Ridge, Ore.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, three brothers, three sisters, and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, and after 1 p.m. Sunday at Patton United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Fred Rister officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
