Myrtle Sutterer

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Myrtle E. Sutterer, 93, of Perryville died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Bollinger County, Mo., daughter of William and Mary Ellen York Farris.

She and Joseph A. Sutterer were married Nov. 12, 1932. He died Nov. 15, 1969.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Survivors include three sons, Lloyd Sutterer of Perryville, Norman Sutterer of St. Louis, Dennis Sutterer of Grimes, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, five sisters and a great-grandson.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, and the rosary will be at 9 a.m. Friday.

The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Joe Williams officiating.

Burial will be Mount Hope Cemetery.
