MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Myrtle M. Smith, 99, of Marble Hill died Friday, July 27, 2007, at the Eldercare facility in Marble Hill. She was born Oct. 10, 1907, at Bessville, Mo., to Ora and Nellie Burkhart Spain. She and John Smith were married Aug. 22, 1944. He died April 6, 1979...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Myrtle M. Smith, 99, of Marble Hill died Friday, July 27, 2007, at the Eldercare facility in Marble Hill.

She was born Oct. 10, 1907, at Bessville, Mo., to Ora and Nellie Burkhart Spain. She and John Smith were married Aug. 22, 1944. He died April 6, 1979.

Smith was a member of the Scopus Church of Christ.

Survivors include her nephew, Murray Dunn of Marble Hill.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at Liley Funeral home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Kelly Francis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Old Trace Creek Cemetery.
