DEXTER -- Myrtle Jane McNeely, 83, of Dexter died Friday, Oct. 25, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
McNeely was born Oct. 27, 1912, in Kennett, daughter of William L. and Eva Schrader Cornelison Chamness. She and Riley McNeely were married Aug. 10, 1929. He died Aug. 8, 1965.
She spent most of her life in the Bloomfield community and was a member of the Walker General Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Elder Manufacturing Co.
Survivors include two half-brothers, Dan Chamness of Eugene, Ore., and Lowell Chamness of St. Louis.
Friends may call today from 5-8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel. The Rev. Harold Carter will officiate, with burial at Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
