DEXTER -- Funeral service for Myrtle L. Garner of Dexter will be held at 10 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Kent Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Caroline-Dowdy (New Bethel) Cemetery near here.
Garner, 92, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 22, 1902, in Dexter, daughter of Richard Amos and Martha Green Deason. She and Jentry H. Garner were married June 5, 1921, at Dexter. He died July 10, 1961.
Garner lived in Michigan 24 years, moved to Dudley in 1943, and back to Dexter in 1984.
Survivors include four nieces, Martha Mitchell of Dexter, Marcella Golombeski, Ida Kelly and Hazel Kelly of Flint, Mich., and a nephew, Sam Kelly of Flint.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two half brothers.
