SIKESTON -- Myrtle L. Andres, 87, of Sikeston died Friday, Aug. 20, 1993, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born Sept. 27, 1905, at Iuka, Ill., the daughter of John Adam and Ida Mae Hahn Andres. She lived most of her life in Sikeston, where she worked for the International Shoe Company. ...

SIKESTON -- Myrtle L. Andres, 87, of Sikeston died Friday, Aug. 20, 1993, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born Sept. 27, 1905, at Iuka, Ill., the daughter of John Adam and Ida Mae Hahn Andres.

She lived most of her life in Sikeston, where she worked for the International Shoe Company. She was one of the eldest members of the First Baptist Church and an elementary Sunday school teacher for many years. She also worked for more than 20 years as a volunteer at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She is survived by two sisters, Jo Aufdenberg of Sikeston and Nellie Sutton of Oak Ridge, Tenn. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at 1:30 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Sikeston, where funeral service will be at 4 p.m. The Rev. Jim Guffie will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston is in charge of the arrangements.
