JACKSON -- Funeral service for Myrtle E. Yamnitz of Jackson Manor was held Saturday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Luther Rhodes officiated, with burial in Yount Cemetery.
Yamnitz, 94, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 12, 1896, at Yount, daughter of William and Sarelda Crites Fadler. She married Loy O. Yamnitz April 18, 1923. He died Aug. 28, 1971.
Yamnitz moved to Jackson in 1985 from Patton. She was a lifelong member of the former Yount Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Loy Yamnitz Jr. of Jackson; two brothers, Julius Yamnitz of California State, Perry Yamnitz of Perryville; three sisters, Pearl Michaud of Perryville, Jane Foster of Lutesville, Fannie Taylor of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, a sister, three half brothers and a half sister.
