MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Myrtle E. Bonifield, 90, of Miller City, died Friday, March 12, 1993, at her home.
She was born July 31, 1902, in Henderson, Ky., daughter of Albert and Christina Lindenberg Gerard. She married Edward R. Bonifield, who died in 1975.
Bonifield was a member of Lake Milligan Baptist Church here, and Alexander County Senior Citizens in Cairo.
Survivors include two half sisters, Ellen McCoy of Evansville, Ind., Dorothy Fouch of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two half brothers, Harold Gerard of McClure, Delmar Gerard of New Orleans; a grandson, and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two sons.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Cairo. The Revs. Harold Allen and Myron Dillow will officiate, with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
