Myrime Louise Morrill, 83, of Scott City passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Cape Girardeau to Thomas Alvin and Josephine Lea Mirgeaux Petitt. She and Charles Edgar Morrill were married June 2, 1951, in Illmo. He preceded her in death May 27, 2004.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Council of Catholic Women, the Parish Home and School, Teens Encounter Christ, Marriage Encounter and Cursillo and was a Girl Scout leader.
Myrime loved her Lord and family above all else.
She is survived by two sons, C.J. Morrill and Alan (Carla) Morrill of Scott City; three daughters, Josie (Mike) Camp of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Paula Yount of Memphis, Tennessee, and Teresa (Tim) Enderle of Scott City; six brothers, Tom Petitt of Marion, Illinois, Jerry Petitt of Paducah, Kentucky, Richard Petitt of Springfield, Missouri, Bill and Mike Petitt of Scott City and David Petitt of Chaffee, Missouri; three sisters, Joyce Blattel of Gordonville and Shirley Gaither and Lorene Petitt of Scott City; 10 grandchildren, Amber, Amanda, Jane, Chloe, Hayden, Claire, Nathan, Andrew, Devin and Hailey; and nine great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Ashtyn, Domonic, Charlie, Emilia, Jase, Jon, Alli and Bridgett.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Venus Petitt; and three grandchildren, Michael David, Angela Hope and Tanner Joseph.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. today.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Scott City.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph School, Notre Dame Regional High School and St. Joseph Parish.
