JACKSON -- James Arnold "Mutt" Brown, 75, of Jackson, died Tuesday, July 9, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Lamar, Ark., son of James Marvin and Minnie Oma Jones Brown. He and Ruby Mae Slinkard were married Feb. 2, 1941.
Brown was a mechanic at Kasten Masonry 40 years. He was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jackson, and Teamsters Local 574 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Delmer Brown of Jefferson City, Rev. Ronnie Brown and Steve Brown of Jackson; a sister, Mildred "Midge" Davis of Chaffee, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Church, with the Revs. Doyle Randol and Ronnie Brown officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
