JACKSON -- Murel Ray Allen, 68, of Jackson, died Friday, April 19, 1996, at his home.
He was born June 14, 1927, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Ray and Rhoda Johnson Allen. He and Vera Birk were married March 30, 1952, at Tilsit.
Allen worked on the family farm, and was a truck driver with Penzel Construction from 1968-80. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cathy Bonneville and Janet Allen of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Geneva Maevers and Ruth Aufdenberg of Egypt Mills; five brothers, J.W. Allen of Brookport, Ill., Milford Allen of Cape Girardeau, Darrell Allen of state of Michigan, Larry Allen of Jackson, Mike Allen of St. Louis, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnny Seabaugh officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Church Cemetery.
