MS. MARTHA GODDARD

Ms. Martha Goddard, a resident of Advance, formerly of O'Fallon, was born February 11, 1917 in Clarksville, Tenn., daughter of the late Alva and Kathryn Carver Nale. She passed away Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 82.

Ms. Goddard was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and retired after 42 years of teaching in Missouri schools. She was a member of Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

On December 23, 1939, she was united in marriage to Wayne Goddard, at Dexter, and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1984.

Survivors include two daughters, Helen Goddard of Eureka, Mo. and Kathy Barry of Advance; one sister, Louise Loya of Clarksville, Tenn..; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Goddard Davault of Jackson; two grandsons, Captain Matthew Goddard of Shreveport, La. and Ryan Goddard of Jackson; one granddaughter, Marty Barry of Advance; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Hal Goddard, one brother, J.D. Nale and one sister, Kathryn Pierce.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 1999 at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at the funeral home, the Rev.

Danny Greene and the Rev. Hal Greene officiating. Internment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, Mo.
