SIKESTON -- Mozella D. Bowden, 45, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, June 25, 1996, of an apparent heart attack.
She was born Sept. 9, 1950, in Sikeston, daughter of Walter and Hezzie Artis Bowden Sr.
Bowden was a certified nurse assistant. She was a member of Green Memorial Church of God in Christ, taught Sunday School, served on the usher board, Sunshine Band teacher, and president of the church food bank.
Survivors include a son, Robert Parr of Benton Harbor, Mich.; three daughters, Vivian, Audrey and Laronda Miller, all of Sikeston; her mother of Sikeston; four brothers, Melvin, Troy and Roy Bowden, all of St. Louis, Walter Bowden Jr. of Sikeston; three sisters, Mamie Lewis, Ophalia Carter and Rose Barkley, all of St. Louis, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Green Memorial Church with Pastor Charlie Green Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.
