CHARLESTON -- Mossie Johnson, 96, of Charleston died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1997, at Charleston Manor. She was born Sept. 20, 1900, in Mississippi County, daughter of Charles M. and Annie Laura Bogard Skyles. She and Harry J. Johnson were married March 21, 1919. He died April 19, 1966...

CHARLESTON -- Mossie Johnson, 96, of Charleston died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1997, at Charleston Manor.

She was born Sept. 20, 1900, in Mississippi County, daughter of Charles M. and Annie Laura Bogard Skyles. She and Harry J. Johnson were married March 21, 1919. He died April 19, 1966.

Johnson was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, and four sisters, including her twin sister.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time.

McMikle Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
