Morris Cobb of Millersville, age 79, passed away peacefully at home with his family Tuesday, Feb 9, 2021.

He was born Jan. 23, 1942, in St Louis to Venah and Webster Cobb.

He was married to Lynda Limbaugh on May 29, 1965, in Jackson.

The first five years of their marriage was spent in St Louis. The next 50 years, he worked on his farm, raising cattle and farming. From 1970-2008, he pastored churches in the Cape Girardeau Baptist Association. From 1975-2008, he worked full-time at Monroe's Plumbing and Heating. After retiring from plumbing, he worked for the Millersville water district from 2005-2013. For over 20 years, he also volunteered at the Millersville Fire Department, filling the role of captain and chaplain, until he retired recently in 2020.

Morris was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynda Cobb; two daughters, Melissa (Vance) Raines of Cape Girardeau and Melanie (Jimmy) Erlbacher of Jackson; three grandsons, Devin Raines and Jeffrey and Jonathan Erlbacher; and one sister, Janet (Carol) Barnhart of Millersville. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, conducted by Jim Matthews. Private burial will follow.
