MONTIE R. JONES

Graveside service for Montie Raye Jones of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. today at Lorimier Cemetery. The Rev. Leigh Earley will officiate.

There is no visitation.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Jones, 87, died Monday, April 24, 1995, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Sept. 9, 1907, in Lancaster, Ky., daughter of Nelson and Lucy Jane Rainey Davis. She and John Roy Jones were married April 9, 1928, in Richmond, Ky. He died Nov. 11, 1980.

Jones was a former school teacher. She was a member of First Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, and Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary Quilters.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Jones of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
