Mitchell Lee "Mitch" Gill, 77, of Millersville passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
He was born May 20, 1938, near Allenville, Missouri, the son of Hansel and Velda A. Mitchell Gill. He and Sieglinde Schenk were married in 1980.
Mitch worked for Cape-Kil Pest Control in Cape Girardeau and then for Procter and Gamble, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, he is survived by two sons, Dean Gill of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Brad (Wendy) Gill of Millersville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Audrey James of Jackson and Janet Dunning of Delta.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Gill.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian Gill officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
