MINNIE STEVENSON

EAST PRAIRIE -- Minnie Stevenson, 85, of East Prairie died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at her home.

She was born Oct. 20, 1912, at Malden, daughter of William P. and Serena Taylor Gulledge. She and Floy Stevenson were married Oct. 17, 1930. He died June 29, 1991.

Stevenson had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Stevenson of Riverside, Calif., Fonzy Stevenson of Hazelwood; two daughters, Norma Samons of East Prairie, Joyce Honse of St. Peters; a sister, Geneva Elefritz of Trenton, Mich.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with George White officiating. Burial will be in Smith-Stevenson Cemetery near Dexter.
